Lakeshore Animal Health Partners Unveiled 1

October 28, 2021 | Toronto, ON: Exciting new plans have been unveiled to build a state-of-the-art 24/7 specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in the Greater Toronto Area. Toronto Animal Health Partners is partnering with VetStrategy  on the project, which is expected to be operational in Fall of 2022 and will provide pet owners with innovative care and services for their beloved animals.

The hospital which will be named Lakeshore Animal Health Partners will span 25,000 sq. ft. – six to 10 times larger than most traditional veterinary clinics – and will be equipped to provide 24/7 ER-ICU care as well as a wide array of specialty services including neurology, cardiology, oncology, medical imaging, internal medicine, anesthesiology, critical care and surgery.

“This is exactly why partnering with VetStrategy was important to us,” says founder and CEO of Animal Health Partners, Scott Woodrow. “With the growth in pet population in recent years, there is a correlating surge in demand for veterinary care and specialty and emergency veterinary services. We found a partner that could help us expand the Animal Health Partners brand to meet this demand and further our mission to bring human-level healthcare to pets in Canada.”

Just like Toronto Animal Health Partners, the new Lakeshore location will be modelled on best practices in human medicine as part of its mission to provide Canadians with access to the same quality of healthcare for their pets as would be available for themselves. This standard of care is achieved by offering a wide variety of specialty services by leading veterinary specialists; investing in state-of-the-art technology, including the only 3-Tesla MRI machines used in veterinary practice in Canada, and providing an unwavering commitment to clients and referring veterinarians.

The demand for veterinary care has never been stronger and VetStrategy believes in supporting the vision of Animal Health Partners. Orin Litman, CEO of VetStrategy states, “We could not be more excited to embark on this journey with AHP. Veterinarians and all members of the Canadian veterinary industry have been working tirelessly for decades, but in particular since the start of COVID-19, to provide medical care to an ever-growing pet population. We are making this investment with the intention of increasing the availability and quality of specialty and emergency services in Southern Ontario for the benefit of our patients, clients, and general practice teams”.
