Dr. Tonia von Hugo

Location: Toronto Animal Health Partners in North York, ON

Originally from Cayuga, a small town south of Hamilton, Ontario, Tonia completed her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Guelph. Prior to pursuing veterinary medicine, she also earned a BA in Creative Advertising from the University of Arts London in the U.K. During her veterinary studies, Tonia discovered a passion for Emergency and Critical Care and Internal Medicine and is excited to learn more about these specialties during her internship.

At home, Tonia lives with her partner and their furry family members: two black cats named Tink and Salem, and a Norwegian Buhund puppy named Finn. Outside of her professional life, Tonia enjoys cooking, baking, and travelling. She and her partner are avid hosts of dinner parties for friends and have a tradition of watching the Great British Bake Off every Christmas.
