Dr. Kitty Yang completed a three-year residency in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at the Ontario Veterinary College in conjunction with the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVSc) graduate degree. Her DVSc thesis was focused on volume kinetics of crystalloid and colloid intravenous fluids in anesthetized cats and the utility of 3-dimensional mathematical computation of bladder volume using orthogonal ultrasonographic bladder images. Dr. Yang became a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2022.
Dr. Yang’s professional areas of interest include fluid therapy, mechanical ventilation and point of care ultrasound. She is RECOVER certified in basic and advanced life support. Dr. Yang strives to provide best practice evidence-based medicine. She takes a compassionate and kind approach towards all patients and their families.
Outside of her passion for Emergency and Critical Care, Dr. Yang enjoys hiking and camping outdoors. She is a big fan of Golden Retrievers. Currently, her family includes two Miniature Schnauzers, and two Shepherd mixes.
